J-7 The picture shows an excellent blue bitch I once owned given to me by Frank Hutton. She did considerable winning and to my mind was one of the nicest blues I know of. Notice her spendid bone and chest. - Virginia Waller to Eugene Byfield, Christmas album, 1923 Return to pictures

J-8 Mr. Richard Walsh Judging Queensboro Show, 1922 (Mineola, NY Fairgrounds). Outside the rope, reading from the left, Miss Jones, Mrs. Jones, four spectators, then Mrs. Hubbard, Mrs. Schieffeler, Mrs. Mears and Claire Knapp. "This was certainly a wild show. Queensboro, and Mr. Walsh judging? Well, it was queer judging and very funny. Everyone bought liquor, and most of the chow club were hitting the sky. One moderately well-known lady exhibitor conspicuous for her tagging around with the judge, became so angry when he put her dogs down that she threw the ribbons away, and refused to bring the rest of her dogs in the ring. Afterwards, we all told the judge how awful he was. Can you imagine such a show?" - Virginia Waller to Eugene Byfield, Christmas album, 1923 Return to pictures
