J-9 Mrs. Charles Proctor, founder of Blue Dragon Kennels holding close to her, the well-known Champion Lord Cholmondeley. "They say that years ago, Mrs. Proctor was her husband's (Charles E. Proctor) model for many of his most beautiful paintings. Mrs. Proctor is a charming lady, and owned the illustrious old Champion Chinese Chum, who manages to be in a great many chow pedigrees. She started the old Blue Dragon Kennels in 1904, and is sister-in-law to Mrs. "Greenacre" Lincoln." - Virginia Waller to Eugene Byfield, Christmas album, 1923 Return to pictures

J-12 "This is the darndest looking picture, but it has such a good idea of what a lovely baby my darling SUM SULTAN was, I just had to include it. He was just thirteen months, minus one week, when this was taken, and he had just won RESERVE WINNERS at the GARDEN under Mr. Crane, defeating several great ones, including Champion Greenacre Red Knight. I did not show him, but had my trusty Livesly in the ring. Instead of being overjoyed, I went around looking like OLD GLOOMO." - Virginia Waller to Eugene Byfield, Christmas album, 1923 Return to pictures
